Everflon® PFA JP04 is fine particles of copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkylvinyle-ther.
Since PFA has lower melt viscosity than PTFE, it can make a pinhole-free coating film. It is suitable for anti-corrosion linings.
The film shows the same excellent properties of PTFE film, such as chemical resistance. heat resis-tance, non-stock property, low friction and outstanding electric property.

Application of PFA Coating Powder JP04
The higher the applied voltage the stronger the bonding force of powder coating to the base material becomes, however electrostatic repulsion occurs easily. It is, therefore, not advisable to increace the applied voltage.
A voltage of 20 to 50 kV is recommended for electrostatic coating of Everflon Coating Powder. The surface temperature of the base material greatly affects the coating.
If the surface temperature for FEP is lower than 200°C and for PFA is lower than 250°C, the volume resistivity increases and an electric charge is accumulated, with the result that the powder will not easily adhere, due to electrostatic repulsion. This means that the coating cannot be thickened. Note that electrostatic repulsion may cause pin holes and foaming.
The cooling speed of the preheated base material differs with the heat volume of the base mate-rial (thickness of the base material if it is made of the same material) and the surface area. And the processing time can be obtained approximated by the following formula.

Everflon® PFA resins are not affected by storage time,packaged in 10kg single layer plastic bags.
Storage conditions should be designed to avoid airborne contamina-tion and water condensation on the resin when opening and emptying the packaging.
